“Hypnotically innocent. Superbly composed. Wonderfully dreamy and Kodak-momentary. […] Uden Titel is a superb work of 90s innocence for our psychopath-active present,” writes GAFFA critic Adam Bouttai of Marc Facchini’s latest solo album (translated).
Born into a family of craftsmen, doctors, actors and swindlers and raised at a theatre school in Bakkebølle, the Copenhagen-based Danish-Italian songwriter draws on his background and surroundings to write songs that ask for immersion; songs about body, money, transformation, philosophy, religion, sexuality, spirituality and death.
In the early 2010s Marc Facchini fronted the rock band Mescalin Baby, winners of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation’s talent competition KarriereKanonen, and later the genre-bending art-pop project Mother Lewinsky. Since 2015 his neo-folk songs have enchanted audiences everywhere from large festival stages to packed living rooms. His sixth solo album, Uden Titel, is out now, and his live shows are an intimate and moving experience not to be missed.
“Because it is here, in his flesh, in his incarnation of scribbled-down songs, as a brilliant performer with roots in the past and fresh shoots in the present, that it all makes sense. A human being speaks out and means every fucking word.”
